Hen Blas - on Morfa Nefyn beach. Sleeps up to 11. Pets. This unique house is on the north coast of the Lleyn Peninsula and is literally on the beach. At the back of the house there is a path to the top of the cliff giving direct access to the 11th green of Nefyn Golf Club – a superb coastal course. There are 3 houses nearby (200yards), plus 12 more and a fascinating beach pub in Porthdinllaen, the hamlet in the small bay round the point (500 yards). There is excellent coastal walks near-by, and you can see a seal colony (half a mile) at the end of the mini peninsula, on which Hen Blas and the golf course are located. The beautiful Lleyn Peninsula is immediately available for exploration by car, bicycle or foot, and the coastal views from the house are stupendous. There are basic food shops and a Post Office in Morfa Nefyn (1 mile from the house). A Spar supermarket (open until 10pm, 7 days a week) and a chemist are in Nefyn, which is 2 miles away. Pwllheli is 7 miles away on the south coast and has a cinema, lots of shops, a weekly market and a large marina. Porthdinllaen (now completely owned by the National Trust) has moorings for small crafts and yachts in the harbour, which is protected from all directions except the North East. It is superb for swimming in the normally crystal clear waters, sailing and sea angling, with many varieties of fish in the bay. There is a riding school a few miles away and there are many excellent restaurants within 15 minutes drive or less, plus good ‘pub food’ on the beach at lunch time. The house has a large living/dining room on the 1st floor with big windows looking out to sea; it has an open fire for coal and logs. There is a colour television with DVD player and a radio/CD player. Also on this floor is a galley styled kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and telephone (The telephone is metered and a bill sent to you after your stay) and a bathroom complete with WC, twin basins and shower over the bath. There is also a laundry with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. There are two sets of open tread stairs, one leading to the second floor which has 2 bedrooms; the master room with a double bed and a triple room with 3 single beds. There is also a shower room on this floor complete with shower cubicle, basin and WC. On the ground floor is the games room containing a full sized table tennis table, darts board and bar football. Leading off this room are 2 inter-linked bedrooms with a bunkbed and single bed in each. The bedrooms are all supplied with bed linen. The house is fully centrally heated and double-glazed, the electricity and gas are both metered and bills are sent to you after your stay. Outside on the 1st floor there is a delightful patio area with garden furniture and permanent barbecue. Friday to Friday bookings This property is not suitable for the infirm.
