A
selection of five very well-appointed renovated properties set in 70 acres
of a country estate in the grounds of an historic mansion house (pictured
above). Guests are welcome to explore the ancient woodland paths, fish a
stretch of the Dwyfach river (subject to local permit/licence) with trout
and salmon, use a full-size tennis court
and enjoy the wildlife which proliferates here - ducks and peacocks
roam the grounds and have
nesting boxes adjacent to The Quackery - and sheep and lambs graze the
meadow. Four of the properties are in the mansion courtyard and the fifth is
the former lodge of the estate. The
mansion was once a garrison for Cromwellian forces during the English Civil
War.
The
seaside town of
Criccieth
is about three miles away and scenic Snowdonia
and the wonderful beaches of the Lleyn are easily accessible by car.
Tourist attractions in the area include Narrow Gauge Railways,
pony-trekking, Paint Balling, Go-Karting, excellent restaurants, golf and a
whole lot more.
All
the properties have a BBQ area and outside furniture, and either central
heating or electric wall heaters (charged locally) and TV with video
player. Plentiful parking is available. Bed linen is also provided in each
property. House trained and well-behaved pets are accepted at all the
properties. Short breaks are usually negotiable at a proportion of the
weekly fee.
